What was delivered in Phase 1:
- Stripping of existing Race course proper.
- General earthworks including preparation of proposed subgrade for track construction, retaining walls and fences.
- Construction of 20-metre-wide turf track, including engineered sub surface drainage system and growing medium and turf.
- Construction of 17-metre-wide sand/fibre training track , including engineered sub surface drainage system.
- New sand jog track.
- New plastic running rail on the turf and sand/fibre tracks and reinstatement of existing plastic rail on jog track.
- Construction of Ambulance track.
- Irrigation of turf, sand/fibre tracks
- New pump house and irrigation filtration system.
- Relocation of Stewards Towers, including triax cabling conduits for broadcast cameras.
- New dam to the infield.
- New Track Lighting for training – 8no. 30m poles and metal halide luminaires.
